An emotional whirlwind of a story. Meredith and Gage are each dealing with their own problems. Meredith has escaped abusive relationships with important men in her life and is spreading her wings. Gage appears to be strong and self confident but is still haunted by things from his past. What I love about this story is that each character has vulnerabilities and issues with trust. Yet they embark on a friendship that has surprising results. Received this story for an honest review. ( )

Loved this book!! A pure sweet romance develops between Meredith and Gage as she struggles to overcome the years of dominance by her father and ex fiance. Even though they both want more, it seems their lives are on two different paths. She's just earned her independence and wants to stand on her own while he's preparing to leave Tall Pines Ranch to start over on his own.

I really loved these characters and getting to know some of their secrets was very interesting. The bit of suspense and drama that was included made the story for me. I definitely recommend this one. ( )
