Found nothing unappealing about Wedding Bells in Christmas By Debbie Mason. Loved the small town, family feel to the story. Enjoyed the chemistry between Chance and Vivian. The matchmaking attempts proved hilarious. Even more funny were the lengths that Chance and Vivian went to deter falling victim. I received Wedding Bells in Christmas for and honest review. So to begin with, this is not a Christmas romance, despite the title. This book is centered around a small town of Christmas, Colorado.
Viv’s career as a serious journalist tanked after a confidential informant gave her bad information, it was lucky she didn’t go to jail. Luckily she fired, just moved to the Ask Hilda column. But surprisingly she has been doing well at the column, even though she is the most unqualified. But now she is winging her was to Christmas, Colorado when her best friends had moved to and fell in love. But upon arriving on the plane, she has to sit next to the one person she doesn’t want to see again, the one who has broken her heart…Chance McBride.
As soon as Chance sees Viv on the airplane, it makes him wish for the things he can’t have and it leaves a pain in his heart. But after losing his wife and unborn child in a freak car accident he doesn’t feel like he can ever have that again.
But good and bad forces around Christmas are trying to change that, and it places Viv in a life threatening predicament and will Chance stay around after its all over or will he revert back into his shell.
So I was a little unsure about how I would like this book, I honestly don’t know what was giving me reservations, but I have to say that I was blown away by simply how great this book was. It kept me gripped all the way though. My only regret is that I hadn’t read the previous books so I could get a better feel for the characters.
I found the writing smooth and simply more-ish. The characters were lifelike, but I will say I am not sure I would read this as a stand-alone. Overall it was a fantastic read and one which inspires me to go back, and read all the books from the beginning.
Wedding Bells in Christmas earns 9 out of 10 from me.

"Wedding Bells in Christmas" by Debbie Mason

What I liked about this novel...

What I liked about this novel... was even though this was a fourth in the series... Christmas, Colorado, it was a wonderful standalone read that you were able to understand all that was going on in this town called Christmas, Colorado. The storyline has two main characters Vivi and Chance
however, the reader will soon discover that there are several stories in this novel that will keep you turning the pages to discover that you will encounter some romance, suspense, crime and even maybe a murder, second chance at love all happening in this fast paced read at this town called Christmas. I did find that once I got into the read I found it hard to put down with all of the interesting characters. What will happen now that Vivi is now back in Christmas for a wedding and since loosing her dream newspaper job, now planning to stay and run the local newspaper and now that Chance is back in Christmas for his father's wedding and is in the picture...what all will happen with these two?

I loved how the author presents the story dealing with what had happened with Chance and his on and off relationship with Vivi. Will these two be able to save their ambivalent feelings which are definitely there for each other. What I also found so very interesting was how the town people helped in the matchmaking of these two? Will they be able to have a second chance at the real thing this time? To get all of these answers you will have to pick up the good read "Wedding Bells in Christmas" to see for yourself how this author brings it all out to the reader. ( )
