In my review of the first four Seal Team Six books I said that I thought six would be my limit. Missed it by one. Five is plenty, thanks. This book appears to have been written from storyboards. In this chapter these three things happen. In the next chapter we hear about that bit of back story. In the next chapter these three things happen. In the next chapter we change locations. Next chapter someone dies, or nearly dies and makes a joke about it. The book is a series of set pieces with no character development, no plot, no human beings, just a series of incidents that are detailed in a narrative monotone. The plot is even more unlikely than most thrillers. I received a review copy of "Seal Team Six: Hunt the Fox" by Don Mann and Ralph Pezzullo (Mulholland Books) through NetGalley.com. Again two authors are listed but I think only one was active. Two authors surely would have pushed each other toward greater effort. "We’re not running out of here with our tails between our legs, sir. That’s not happening." I don't think I've ever disliked Crocker as much as I did when I read this book. Basically I could only concentrate on how reckless, selfish, and just plain annoying I found him to be. He just acted horribly on this mission. His reckless behavior left tons of people in danger and at times he seemed so incompetent that it felt like he was some kind of amateur. He is so obsessed with his job and at saving innocent people that he forgets about his family (nearly abandoning them) but he still feels as though he is doing all that he can for his family and that he is not the problem. In regards to what happened with his family at the end and how he reacted to it I was left thinking "what an ass!" Now that I've vented enough about Crocker let's move on to the rest of the book. This book had some great action. It starts off with a bang and I loved it. It could be a bit slow in the middle but then things really ramped up at the end. Crocker and his team are left to save the day when something major happens that I thought they would never be able to pull it off. The action in this did manage to outweigh my annoyance and anger with Crocker. While it wasn't my favorite of the series, it still manages to pack a punch with some high stakes missions. Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for the galley. nessuna recensione | aggiungi una recensione

Seal Team Six has all I expected from a Seal and his ‘friends.’ Action packed. Suspenseful. Makes me ponder the sacrifices and danger real soldiers face so we are free.
I voluntarily reviewed a free copy of Seal Team Six: Hunt The Fox by Don Mann & Ralph Pezullo.
