I really love this book because it ignores the saying, 'You can't teach an old dog new tricks'. This woman has wanted to play the violin her whole life and now that she finally has one, she can't play very well. But with lots of practice and help she becomes a great player. It show children the power of perseverance. Educreation Script: "A Violin For Elva" by Mary Lyn Ray, illustrated by Tricia Tusa. This was published in the year 2015. I noticed that the author in relation to the style of her writing uses the rich metaphor of the violin because the violin the story represents Elva's unfulfilled deep rooted passion for music. For example, she pretends to play the violin. Another thing I noticed about the writing of the author is the rhythmic repetition that she uses that sounds like music. For example the phrase: "Summer, Autumn, Winter, Spring" is just one example of the way the author uses repetition in a rhythmic way to demonstrate the change in time but Elva's constant love for music and the violin. Finally, I summarized that the author crafted a deep appreciation for the idea of perseverance and fulfilling a dream as seen in the last picture. You see this in the writing based on the overall tone and purpose of the story. nessuna recensione | aggiungi una recensione
