Alexander Sheldon likes order and control in his life. He isn't happy when his girlfriend invites another guy for a threesome. Alexander believes in monogamy, and he's never been good at sharing his things. It doesn't help that Christian rubs him the wrong way from the beginning. But what starts as animosity turns into something else. Something unexpected and very wrong. He was never supposed to touch Christian. He was never supposed to feel possessive of the guy. And he most definitely wasn't supposed to want Christian more than he wants his girlfriend. It's a recipe for disaster. This book contains some M/F/M scenes, but it has a M/M HEA. Book 2 in the Straight Guys series.… (altro)

I am not okay with relationships/casual sex between more than two people if even one of them feels jealous/cheated on. That said, I knew what the endgame here was, so I just powered through the threesome scenes. ( )

"If you look at him and think ‘this is mine,’ that’s it. Grab it if you can."

Unsure how this one really correlates with the rest of the Straight Guys' stories, the character, Alec, barely ever insists himself as straight, he's pretty flexible the whole book. He goes with the flow and despite how dour or serious he comes off, it doesn't really conflict with the sexuality, sex happens, feelings happen, he doesn't even hardly fight it.

There are some tie ins, Shawn and Derek are perfect, as always. Derek and Shawn are definitely the best couple introduced so far. Wish it gave us more of their dynamic in between the pages of this book.

Alec and Christian just sort of happen. There isn't really a plot here when reading Book #2, there's just things happening and they happen so fluidly it seems we're missing massive chunks of between the scene moments. Despite being about the same length as Book #1, this book just glides through with almost no conflicts, no real issues. Verbal discussions end without a fight, things happen without struggles. People talk and then it gets resolved. No one really stomps off or gets hurt here.

I think Mila getting shafted made the book feel bad, really damaged the over all mood it had going, they were doing great as a threeway/open relationship and it seemed very shoe-ed in to do that to her. Not only that, her jealousy was just dropped into the plot randomly despite both guys being able to share her fine. It was a sudden wrench that results in obviously no conflict as she's too passive and okay with it being over and they just go we'll be friends and talk later which makes her jealousy even more stupid to read. She's fine with the break up and it being over yet she was jealous and would never let him go? What was the point of it at all? It's easily the most forgettable part of the book.

No rape, no lack of consent, everything's clean here, folks, a squeaky clean gay male on male book. ( )

Sometimes love isn't pretty. It's not neat, and it's not textbook perfect. There's no template for love. Sometimes it's dirty. Sometimes it's a bit creepy. And sometimes it hurts.

Back again for more Straight Guys madness, this time MMF style! You know what that means...

SRAL is always on the hunt for good MMF (I read MF and don't mind if a vagina pops up in my MM romance. Not a big deal. *shrugs*)

Side bar: I'm tired of over glorified MFM that gets the MMF tag. Ugh, you know the ones. The girl is the central piece of the triangle and the men barely do anything together, maybe a blowjob--and that's it. When I come to read MMF, I want equal fuck times between the dudes and their lady. I like my triads equilateral, bay-bee. Fuck that isosceles bullshit.

I'm reading this series in order, and though each book can be read as a standalone, I'm enjoying getting to read the followup of the previous couple in each book as I progress. And if you don't know...I'm here for PROFESSOR DEREK RUTLEDGE. I'd sit on his face any day.

LOL and in this book in the professor's update, they mention him being discreet. Um, have they remembered Just a Bit Twisted? And their sloppy antics? No? Probably too busy feeding the D into Shawn... But I digress.

"Just a Bit Obsessed" was a different kind of MMF, for me. It was DICK-centric. The lady parts weren't graphic or detailed...at all.

Whoa.

This was essentially MM...F.

I didn't know what to do with myself. I mean other than eye fuck this book because this author seems to sprinkle her pages with some sort of magics *cough*guilty pleasure territory*cough* that I just need to consume the words.

Christan, bisexual BFF to Shawn aka the sloppy student from book #1, is invited to be a third in his classmate Mila and her boyfriend, Alexander's sex games. For a night, definitely. More, maybe? Christian is a hot commodity. Everyone wants to fuck him. Except straight boy Alexander, who only agreed to the threesome to keep his girlfriend happy.

Dude...even I knew this wasn't going to work out.

Mila was like Jillian from Family Guy.

Seriously.

She was dumb. And an annoyance. There the three of them were and she'd speak, and ruin the scene. Let Christan get his back blown out, Mila! Shut up, sit in the corner and watch Alex's big cock slam Christian into next week please. Zipper-de-lips. She brought nothing to the table. I don't know what anyone saw in her. I think the author was aiming for that. I hope so because nothing brought me greater joy then when she got dumped.
Sayonara, Mila!

Alexander was emotionally suppressed and "straight". He didn't want anything to do with Christian. Christian was supposed to be the sex toy in the threesome equation, which I can dig it if all parties understand their place before fuck times commence. Nothing worse than having a third catch...feelings.

But you know what happened right? All of that contained emotion needed the right person to make it crack. And guess who did that?

Christian, our happy bottom! (Who really loved to bottom)

"What are thinking about right now?"
Alexander looked at his smiling lips. His tone was completely casual as he said, "That I want to feed you my cock."

*quelts*

Emotion wise...I think "Twisted" might have been slightly stronger. This didn't have cheating (boo!) but reading Alexander lose himself and become obsessed over Christian had the same sort of feeling. And just when I would think I could figure out the next move in this weird sex triangle that turned into something more, it went a different route.

I do enjoy that the men became friends of sorts, loved the possessiveness even when Alexander didn't know he was doing it (the best parts)!

The story has it faults - mostly not exploring Alexander reciprocating to Christian. Christian gave more that he got...I'm hoping for a glimpse into their future in the next book. The author does give some background to both men, on why they are the way they are. But it could have been pushed further, Christian slept around, didn't want to form attachments? Why? Alexander had a harsh home life and was afraid of love? He struggled...but those hard to emote types can take a while. He came around...a little quick, no?

Overall, I really liked the ending, wanted more. There is a HEA and surprisingly this wasn't PWP. There is a plot and not saturated with sex.

AND I AM ALL ABOUT BOOK #3! I AM SOOOOOOOOOO THERE because that pairing...*stares* just the sliver given in this book...it seems that that pairing could have my fave C's codependency & cray I am there with cement shoes. Soon, darlings...soon,Gabriel & Jared.
