Bringing home the bad boy by Jessica Lemmon Tattoo artist Evan and his son return to their hometown. He's lost his wife, been 4 years and he hopes to heal. His wifes BFF welcomes them home...Aunt Charlie. Story goes back in time to when Ray had died and how hard things were for Evan to hold it together. Story follows him as he's thinking of her and her body when he's hanging out with the bad boys. Also follows her and her girlfriends as they talk about him and other bad boys of town. Lots of hot steamy sexual scenes. Few characters, easy to keep track of. Love their choice of careers and learning about how they do their jobs. Circumstances draw them apart and bring them together til a health emergency... Recipes included. I received this book from National Library Service for my BARD (Braille Audio Reading Device). This was a hot read. I love stories of bad-boys-turned-devoted-family-men, as is the case with Evan Downey. Two things detracted from me totally loving this book: 1) Evan says "Ace" way too much. As in almost every sentence. Yes, we get it - that's her nickname. A minor annoyance but still an annoyance. 2) Ace gets too whiny in the end about all the reasons they shouldn't be together. I was constantly rolling my eyes. Overall, however, I would recommend "Bringing Home Bad Boy" and look forward to reading more from Jessica Lemmon. I really liked Evan and his son, they were a great little family. Charlie I actually liked in the beginning, but the more I read and the more guilt she felt started getting old. I understand that she feels as if she's cheating on her best friend with her husband; I get it, I really do, but if everyone is telling you it's okay and healthy then obviously everyone has accepted the relationship. I got to the point of wanting to put the book down just to not read about her wining. But I kept going wanting nothing but the best for Evan. I am pretty curious about the other two friends so I keep reading the series. Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC. nessuna recensione | aggiungi una recensione

Charlie (Charlotte) Harris was Rae's very best friend and misses her every day. Having Evan and Lyon close is just what her healing hearts needs. When sparks start to fly between Evan and Charlie, the guilt and feelings of betrayal are difficult to deal with and may be more than Charlie can handle.
