Attualmente non vi sono conversazioni su questo libro. ![]() ![]() This was not the greatest book ever written but it was a darned compelling story most of the way and I enjoyed it very much. Rick Hoffman finds ooodles of cash in the wall of his nursing home bound father's homestead. His father can no longer communicate so he uses his investigative reporter skills to noodle out the origin and, along the way, gets into a big mess. There were some leaps of credibility and some plot issues but they emerged towards the end and by that time I was too hooked to care. I'm not a real fan of Finder's series books but I will sure be putting his other stand alones on my to read list. Rick Hoffman, ace investigative reporter, loses his job, six-figure income, and, thereby, his gorgeous fiancée due to declining newspaper sales. This was the first Finder book I've read, and I'll probably read more of his books. The story is set in Boston and the writer assumes everyone has been there. When Rick finds $$$$ hidden in the wall of his father's house, adventures ensue. Pretty good book. Fast, fun read. A fascinating quick read. This was the first Finder book I've read, and I'll definitely read more of his books. This one was about the main character returning to his childhood home, and finding a large stash of cash hidden behind a closet. How did it get there and who does it belong to? This becomes Rick Hoffman's obsession, despite the danger he gets into. Along the way, he learns more about his attorney father and his work before a stroke sent him to a nursing facility where he can no longer speak. Will Rick find the story behind the money, or end up like his father? nessuna recensione | aggiungi una recensione
"New York Times bestselling author Joseph Finder delivers his next breakneck stand-alone thriller, following 2014's bestseller Suspicion. When Rick Hoffman loses his job and apartment, his only option is to move back into--and renovate--the home of his miserable youth, now empty and in decay since his father's stroke. But when he starts to pull it apart, he makes an electrifying discovery that will put his life in peril--and change everything he thought he knew about his father.
