HeyMimi | Dec 28, 2020 |   The big fight in this one though goes back to Becky wanting to take a year long damn honeymoon. At this point in the story they have taken a month off. I don't know what else to say except I was not weeping for Becky or her ridiculous self by the end of this one. I read somewhere that Kinsella was going to end the series when Becky and Luke got married and she really should have. Up until this short story and the next novel you don't see how selfish and honestly manipulative Becky is. She has evidently bought - and shipped - a large number of souvenirs, and decides on new interests and hobbies, albeit short-lived. Undoubtedly she would be annoying in real life, but for a bit of escapism I love reading about her escapades, which are so different from mine! I know this was written after the other books and only intended to be a short filler story, but I was disappointed when it ended. I’d have liked a bit more. Still, it made ideal reading on a flight. It’s some time since I read the other books in the series but that didn’t matter at all. Recommended if you like the Shopaholic series, although it would probably work as a standalone story too. Becky is such a ditz! And spoiled princess to boot, she wants everything she sees and she want it now. And if she doesn't get it, she'll throw a tantrum and pout like a 4-year old...
