Good but not like the dongri to dubai standards. ( )

I only picked this up because I had read "Dongri to Dubai". The subject matter is of-course fascinating. The book though, just like the last one, is as badly written with typos, bad grammar et. al. There is no gainsaying the author's knowledge - after all he's had a long career as a crime reporter, but the writer in him does not do justice. Most of this was already in the papers at one time or another or is already available on the web. Value addition in the form of a book was to be had in presentation and sequencing it properly. I am sorry, but it just doesn't read right. The flow isn't there. It is basically a bunch of anecdotes randomly strung together with no semblance of a timeline. Considering that this is a sequel, if you take the two together, then the books are replete with redundant references and at times episodes have been repeated. This is a rush job. But then again, maybe he had a gun to his head! Ha! ( )
