I love the Slater Brothers books, I know there has been some upset about some of Alec's actions but tbh its a book, I like a bit of drama, I'd think different if it was actually me it was happening certainly but when all is said and done its fiction.

We reconnect with all the brothers and their sassy ladies. Alec came over as the joker in Dominic but I think although he still jokes he's got a sensitive side that he keeps hidden until he meets Keela. I'd like to give Jason a lamping he's not a nice guy and am a bit hesitant about Micah's change of attitude. Once I started reading I just couldn't put it down and was grateful for the wet bank holiday Monday and a book to keep me going! There are some typos and a couple of editing anomalies I noted but they do not in anyway shape or form detract from the story and I feel sure they'll be picked up and rectified fairly swiftly.

One thing I am very worried about Kane, I'm hoping that we're not heading into heartbreak with him, he's an important part of the Slaters and I really don't want him to be sick with anything that's no fixable I really can't keep this ugly crying up there is simply not enough Oil of Ulay to fix my face if I do! I'm begin, please done hurt Kane too much my heart wont take it. ( )

Co neplánuje je, že ztratí své srdce a také možnost ztratit svoji rodinu, když někdo z jeho minulosti ohrozí jeho budoucnost. Alec vlastní Keelu a co Alec vlastní, toho se drží. ( )

• He forgives her once she agrees to his demand that she proves her love for him. By touching him to show that he no longer disgusts her and that she no longer has the flashbacks of him engaging in coitus with a her aunt. Oh, and the vision of him performing fellatio on a man (who is not a third love interest of theirs). Oh, and then the view of him topping the same guy.

For the love of Pete, why?!?! Even though this is a fictional story, quite a few characters from this book need to be on an episode of Jerry Springer.

I loved the chemistry between Keela and Alec; actually, all of the Slater Brothers have great chemistry, regardless of who they are interacting with. Keela's family is the stuff that nightmares come from; although Alec's parents weren't any better; but at least he had his brothers with him growing up, poor Keela is an only child, and still not good enough in her own mother's eyes. I did enjoy watching the relationship develop between Alec and Keela.

I really loved Dominic's story, and even the Bronagh novella (to an extent, but that's a review for another day). And trust me, I was all into Alec's story...all the way up to close to the end....when the pivotal scene happened. I'm sorry, it just pissed me off. But once the real truth came out, it was surprising the lengths people go through to achieve a particular goal. Even after all of that, Keela's mother still takes the prize for being the biggest douchetwat.

So that's my review, without giving away too much. I really am looking forward to reading about the rest of the brothers, especially when we finally get to Damien's story. ( )
