Children's librarian by day. Romance novelist by night.British single father.Someone else is writing this love story...Blair Walton isn't your average curvaceous tattooed children's librarian. I have mixed feelings about this book. I kept going back and forth. At some points, I liked it. Then others, not so much.

I had a hard time connecting with these characters. Blair is very immature and fake. Declan is the typical brooding rich guy who likes to hold secrets. These two just didn't do it for me.

The premise of the book is unique in that she is a writer, not wanting people to find out what she does on the side. But it just seems weird. Her character acts like her secret writing could be the end of the world if anyone found out. She is overly dramatic over everything.

There are parts that had me wanting to keep reading. However, just when I started to get into the story, it would flip and go the opposite direction.

I am disappointed that I'm not over the moon with this book. Chelsea is a very talented writer. She usually writes well. This, however, it's one of her best works. Now, with that, it isn't the worst book either. It is a good book. I have seen five star reviews. So others obviously don't feel the same as I do. I just think it could have been better. Maybe make the characters more real and believable. ( )

Unwritten is a really fun read. It’s got some pretty good characters, and quirky friends.

I really liked Blair. She’s not supermodel thin, and I think she appeals to how many women really are. I love that she’s a tattooed, librarian beauty. I really like characters I can connect with. I also love that she doesn’t let the fact that she writes books get to her head. She wants that life to be completely separate from her world outside of writing. I also love her bestie, Raine. She’s so funny, and definitely the most devious of the two. Declan is a sweet guy. He does over the top things when it comes to Blair. I love how they interact with each other from the moment they first meet.

There were some areas where I think the pacing was a little fast, but there was a whole lot of story to fit into one book. I like how easy going Blair is around Declan. She feels like she can be herself and not live up to the expectations of her family. There are a lot of things going on in Blair’s personal life, and I think she handled them all well. I love when characters get to know each other too. Things may seem fast paced in some places, but Declan and Blair talk about pretty much everything.

All in all, it was a great read, and there were some tears in a few spots. ( )

***I was given a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for an honest review for Nerd Alert Book Love blog***

Blair Walton is a beautiful, curvy, tattooed covered children's librarian by day and at night, along side her best friend Raine, she writes Erotic novels.

"...Legend has it that the secret to blurb writing was buried alongside Jesus, but pirates stole it after his resurrection..."

Blair and Raine are close to their deadline for their latest book, and they are steadily running out of ideas. Raine thinks it would be a great idea to meet a guy and use him for research to finish their book.

"...But he'd never have to know! That's the beauty of having a pen name..."

Blair meets Declan through his 3 year old son Drake at the library. And she is instantly smitten. He's British, gorgeous, wealthy, an amazing single father, and perfect to help finish the book! What's not to like?

"...I leaned against the shelves for support and closed my eyes. That man did things to me..."

What will happen when a research project turns into something more? How will Blair handle the stress and emotions that come with a deadline, a fire, and a death in the family? What will happen when Declan declares he is not interested in a serious relationship and when Blair comes to realize Declan has some skeletons in his closet?

"...I found perfection in small moments..."

I love Chelsea M Cameron's books. I love My Favorite Mistake and the Surrendering Saga! If you are looking for a quick, quirky read then Unwritten is for you. It's a sweet, sexy, silly, and easy flowing story. Blair is a great character. I love her love of books and her book based tattoos. But i also love her self confidence. Raine is an awesome bff and we all need one like her. Declan is definitely sexy and dreamy! He's a great book boyfriend! I highly enjoyed this book even though it wasn't one of my favorites by Chelsea. And I gladly give it a Nerd Alert B or 4 stars! ( )
