Fred is a boy who is fighting with his brother for the telephone in order to talk to his grandmother. When the boys drop and break the telephone, Fred believes that his grandma is now stuck inside of the telephone. Fred could not fall asleep that night and heard the telephone ringing downstairs. When he went downstairs he saw his grandmother was sitting on the telephone. Fred’s grandmother tucks him into bed and sings him to sleep.
Review:
This book is a fun and easy read for young developing readers. Each page has an appropriate amount of text for the age group and reading level. By the story focusing on bedtime and grandparents, young children can easily relate the events to their own home lives. ( )
