Temptation Eve by Michelle Lauren is many things. It is a paranormal, interracial, erotica romance but above all else it is a mouth-watering read. The novel involves an uptight African-American attorney involved in a secret affair with a Greek hottie attorney who happens to be an incubus. It seems her bedroom appetites are more akin to a lover of his stamina and expertise. Eve is really naughty in the bedroom or closet, as most of the love scenes occur, but her character is far from slutty and actually very likeable. Alonso D’Agostino is more than meets the eye but what can be seen is a fine-ass man wanted by every single woman who crosses his path. Eve is fearless in the courtroom but fears the end of her liaison with Alonso. The sexual connection between them is beyond description but what Eve feels for him goes beyond sexual. In the process of finding the perfect dominant, she’s found the perfect man. The novel is relatively short and a fast read. The sex scenes, which are quite descriptive and graphic, are attention-grabbing and make the story progress very quickly.

Straight-laced attorney Eve Templin is mortified to be locked in a broom closet while having sex with one of her firm’s biggest clients on the night of their annual party. However, with all the sinfully delicious things Alonso D’Agostino is doing she’s not protesting too strongly. Always in control in the courtroom, Eve is relieved to allow her submissive side to submit to the very dominant Alonso. It’s been months and Eve wants more from Alonso than unbelievable sex but she believes their affair is almost ending as Alonso never stays with any woman more than a few months. As an incubus, losing control for Alonso can have paranormal results such as throwing an entire building into darkness with the surge of energy he produces on release. Returning to the party Eve is devastated to learn of Alonso’s engagement. A brokenhearted Eve dashes from the party. But is Alonso really getting married?
