This one was recommended, although I'm not sure where or by whom, and I'm not thrilled. The characters and artwork were compelling enough, but I'm not a big fan of the crazy women stories. A bit too stereotypical glimpse-into-how-guys-talk-about-girls for me, and they were all such shallow, odd relationships on both sides that it was hard to feel a whole lot of empathy for anyone involved. I suspect it might have been helpful if I hadn't been plunked into the middle of the story (this is volume 8 or so), but it might just not be my kind of story. This is probably the best jumping-on point for the wonderful Finder series. Aboriginal future or not, who hasn't had a few bad dates? Ok, not this bad. But that's what makes it fantastic. That, and the distinctive character voices, brilliant layouts, and general awesomeness that mark apparently everything Carla Speed McNeil touches.
This is the best example of how to do a non-porn comic for adults about sex I’ve ever seen. Admittedly, it’s a small field, because most artists don’t want to tackle the subject. If you’re old enough to realize that what goes on in the head is more erotic than what goes on in the body, you should read this. It’s a triumph. Appartiene alle SerieFinder (8) È contenuto in

It is difficult to describe the experience of reading Carla Speed McNeil's Finder to someone who has yet to read it. The story's wrap themselves around you, the characters whisper in your ear. The phrases make you smile, make you do a double take, and finally, make you laugh out loud. The first fifteen pages of this one alone had me laughing to the point of tears.
If you've not yet read Finder, take the opportunity to pick up the collected Finder Library.. if you have already read Finder.. then friend me. Immediately. Seriously. Pass the book along. Let the wonder that is this graphic novel series fill up the vacancies that series such as [b:Preacher|95431|Preacher, Vol. 1 Gone to Texas|Garth Ennis|http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1309914494s/95431.jpg|1433215] used to occupy.
The world needs more books like these. ( )
