For Christians, Armageddon has come to symbolize the end of the world and the triumphant return of Christ. In this work the author traces the development of these ideas in Christian evangelism and explains how they contribute to the present atmosphere of crisis and confrontation in the Middle East that threatens the peace and security of not only the Islamic world, but of all mankind.
