For high-school senior Celeste Watkins, every day is a brutal test of bravery. And Celeste is scared. Alienated because she's too smart, her speech too affected, her social skills too far outside the norm, she seems to have no choice but to retreat into isolation. But college could set her free, right? If she can make it through this grueling senior year, then maybe. If she can just find that one person to throw her a lifeline, then maybe, just maybe.Justin Milano, a college sophomore with his own set of quirks, could be that person to pull her from a world of solitude. To rescue her-that is, if she'll let him.Together, they may work. Together, they may save each other. And together they may also save another couple-two people Celeste knows are absolutely, positively flat-out in love.Whether you were charmed by Celeste in Flat-Out Love or are meeting her for the first time, this book is a joyous celebration of differences, about battling private wars that rage in our heads and in our hearts, and-very much so- this is a story about first love.… (altro)

Flat Out Celeste wasn't as good as I hoped. I loved Flat Out Love, so I was really excited to read Celeste's story. But honestly, the book felt so dull at times. I understand that Celeste is super quirky, but I felt like Park emphasized it way too much. I reached the point where I was just like, "I get it, okay? Now let's move on." On the other hand, I loved Justin and his sweet personality.
Matt and Julie did appear once in a while, and I'm glad that they got their happy ending.
Overall, I fairly enjoyed Flat Out Celeste even though it wasn't as good as I hoped it would be. ( )

The trouble with sequels...

I loved Celeste and Justin. They were so cute together.
BUT.
Gods, this is too neat, okay?
This book is geared towards a younger audience.
A page-turner, yes. Substance? Not much, really.

VERDICT: TRY AT YOUR OWN RISK ( )

I think this is the best in the series. It's a very sweet love story of two young adults who both feel they live outside of normal. They find each other and discover that their individual quirks complement each other. I laughed. I cried. I loved it! ( )

I've been redesigning my blog for the past few weeks, and the time has finally come to make all the individual post logos. And having written a review of [b:Flat-Out Love|11096647|Flat-Out Love (Flat-Out Love, #1)|Jessica Park|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1361307724s/11096647.jpg|16018629] (which you can read here)and so I googled the cover.

This lead to the discovery of [b:Flat-Out Celete], and I have a couple minor things to say.

a)- How, THE HELL, did I not know about this?

WHY?

It's no secret that I love this series, so I'm at a loss as to why I hadn't realized there was a sequel.

and

b)- WHY DID NO ONE TELL ME?

YOU! Yes, I mean you.

Care to explain why I had to find this via Google Images? Because there better be a good reason.

Don't worry, don't worry..
You're forgiven..

*hugs*
