I had no idea when I started it that it was the second book in the series. I enjoyed it. It works as a stand alone though now I want to read the other two books in the series. ( ) If there ever was a book to make you want to build your own gingerbread house, this is it! No joke. I really built one, the only one ever, and it was just too much fun. If you don’t believe me, just go check my pictures of it on my Facebook page. It came out really good. This story is a part of Copper Mountain Christmas stories and Montana Born series, but I embraced Rachel and Nate’s story as a stand alone. If you like stories of family reunions, new friendships turning into deeper connection, than look no further. This is a well-written, very realistic and compelling little story that will have you dreaming of home and hearth, crackling fireplace and white Christmas. I’m really looking forward to reading more of Melissa McClone’s Montana Born stories and I hope you give this one a go. Melanie for b2b Home for Christmas by Melissa McClone This story starts out with Rachel and she's arrived at the Bar V5 ranch where her brother works (he's partner) with Nate. Ty has told her she can use the kitchen to create and she's just been bamboozled out of her savings to open her bakery back home in Arizona. She's only in Montana for 3 weeks and makes gingerbread houses resembling real houses that people live in and they buy them from her. Nate falls in love with her on sight as his dating online escapades hasn't gotten him a satisfied date in years. He loves her cooking and baking and has agreed to let her stay and even finance a shop here in town and she can use his kitchen in the meantime. Love all the marketing ideas for Rachel to sell her baked goods. A misunderstanding could send her back to Arizona... I LOVED this story. Beautifully written, great characters and the story just flows. One that has you upset when you get to the last page because you want more!! Nate is ready for more in his life...a wife and family...but he can't seem to meet a woman he even wants a second date with. Then he meets Rachel. But there might be a problem...ok a few. Not to worry Nate has a plan. What could go wrong.... Grab this one fast. I highly recommend it. nessuna recensione | aggiungi una recensione
A touch of ginger. A dash of spice. A cowboy and a pastry chef... A recipe of naughty and nice. Spending the holidays with her brother after hitting a crossroads in her career, Rachel Murphy keeps her dream of owning a pastry shop alive by creating custom gingerbread houses for clients in a small Montana town. And her Christmas wish list keeps growing this year--a bigger kitchen, a family, a place to call home...and maybe someone to share it all with. When handsome dude ranch owner Nate Vaughn grants one of Rachel's Christmas wishes--offering her a workspace of her own--she can't refuse. As they grow closer, Rachel and Nate find more than pastries heating up in the kitchen. Is mixing business with affairs of the heart a recipe for disaster? Or will all of Rachel's wishes come true?
