One day, when Winnie and Wilbur are flying over the museum, they see a crowd of people gathered around a huge dinosaur skeleton in the courtyard. It's a Triceratops and there's a competition to draw or make a model of what the dinosaur would have looked like when it was alive. Winnie is reallykeen to take part! But she just isn't sure what the skeleton might have looked like so she decides the only way to find out is to magic herself and her (not-so-willing) cat Wilbur back into the time of the dinosaurs!Once they arrive in the prehistoric swamp, Winnie and Wilbur hide behind a tree and it's not long before they spot a Triceratops munching the greenery. Pencils and sketchbook in hand, Winnie just can't capture the dinosaur on paper so instead she jumps onto his back and Winnie, Wilbur, and a rathersurprised Triceratops crash into the museum courtyard just as the prize is about to be presented by Professor Perkins. The Triceratops is even more surprised when he is given the prize! Then Winnie and Wilbur take him home and it's time for one last magic-wand moment so that Winnie's prehistoricfriend can really fit in to his new surroundings. This edition comes with an audio CD where the story is narrated over an imaginative soundtrack of music and effects.Visit a href="http://www.winnie-the-witch.com/flash.php"www.winnie-the-witch.com/a and a href="http://www.korkypaul.com/"www.korkypaul.com/a Non sono state trovate descrizioni di biblioteche |

As with the other entries in this quirky witchy series, I enjoyed Winnie's Dinosaur Day immensely, appreciating the humorous tale of magical hi-jinks, and the detailed artwork. I particularly enjoyed some of Wilbur's reactions this time around, as he looks on aghast while Winnie casts her spell, and hides his eyes rather than look at the dinosaurs around him. Like its predecessors, the endpaper artwork here is supplied by young child fans of the series, in this case from South Korea, which adds to the sense of child-friendly fun. All in all, another entertaining addition to the Winnie the Witch series, one that will appeal to fans of these characters, to children who enjoy witchy tales, and to young readers with an interest in dinosaur stories. The ending, in particular, will appeal to those children who have dreamed of having a dinosaur of their own... ( )
