I enjoyed the book and the intensity of their relationship to an extent. I hated this game they were playing and how it always ended up back firing on both of them. Like the whole whipping her against the tree incident and then she going behind his back to her mom's. Her relationship with her mother bothered the hell out me as well. This woman was awful all your life and yet you keep running back to her just to escape a guy who never truly hurt you. Again, if the whippings were really an issue she would have left him a long time ago. Like she said that was not the problem. She just didn't want to give in to him and wanted to see how far she could push him. While she is only 17 and that is to be expected it was still stupid. Crazy as Josh was he never lied to her. They were both to blame, but what I didn't like was she didn't see what she did was wrong or how unforgiving she was towards his siblings. True, they shut her out but family gone stand by family, It's what you are supposed to do , she never had that so I understand.

Idk, I loved the book and it pissed me off at the same time. I loved and hated her stubbornness, because stubbornness often times lead to trouble. I loved and hate josh's intensity... At 17 he should tone it down a bit. ( )

I love Ms Silver's books. This one was no exception. It was true to form with the badass alpha teen (in this case) and the equally badass girl. It was good to see her giving him a run for his money.
