I like the Nightwing books. There are a couple of issues that keep this at 4 stars instead of 5, mostly abrupt transitions and some random crap that fills pages but doesn't do much for the story. ( )

I love it when the Joker is truly bad, scary bad as he is here. I also enjoyed the way Dick Greyson was built up. He really has a great story. The writer did a fantastic job bringing these characters to life.
The art work was above average but I would have like more detailing
A book for any fan of the Batman World. ( )

It's a real bummer having read the entire Death of the Family run in the Joker book because these third volumes in the event all contain a lot of issues previous collected. However, Nightwing is still a great title and I enjoyed the 2-3 issues I hadn't read yet. ( )

Let me start off by saying that I am not a huge Nightwing fan. And though this Volume was good, I'm still really not.
It's amazing to me that the Joker, whenever he shows up, fully takes over the title he is in. The "Death of the Family" elements in this book are by far the best parts, (SPOILERS) and while the loss of Haly's Circus does give Dick a chance to show a deeper emotional range (as does the tag on story at the end as part of "Requiem") I still found myself not really caring as much as the author seemed to try to get the reader (me) to do.
Overall, if you love Nightwing, read this. If not, no huge loss in my opinion. ( )
