Lydia was supposed to have an adventurous and exciting summer. Instead she's done nothing more than read and eat takeout. Now it's time to go home, and what does she have to show for it? A big fat nothing. Unless, of course, her trip to the airport somehow turns into something more than just a flight home. Blake feels like he's been sent on a wild goose chase. While work is piling up back in Denver, he's on the other side of the country, hunting for some mysterious box that his grandfather left him. Well, no more. Nothing inside that box could possibly be more important than the opportunity to make it as the youngest partner at his firm. So he's going home, and that's that. But that's before he discovers his flight has been cancelled. When these two strangers meet at the airport, they make a split-second decision to search for the box together. Maybe with both of them on the hunt, Lydia can have her adventure and Blake can find the box. And maybe, if they're lucky, they'll even find some romance.… (altro)

I was given a free copy of this novella in exchange for an honest review. This in no way influenced my review.

I enjoyed this book, but I could not get past the premise. Two people meet at an airport and they decide to cancel their plans and spend two days together. I do not think that this is realistic. I really enjoyed the romance aspects of the book and the other parts of the book, but I could not get past this premise. ( )

Lydia Sutton is the sister of Jace from book three in this series and I was excited to read her story. In book three Lydia was a laid back, easy going character and she was very reserved. She had no idea what the definition of the word fun was so she agreed to spend three months in Charlotte in Cambri's condo and report back to Cambri about her adventures. This book picks up at the airport where Lydia is waiting for her flight back home to Denver. She meets Blake Knowles, an attorney struggling to make partner at his law firm, and they hit it off immediately. Blake is headed back home to Denver also after a failed attempt to locate a box his grandfather wanted him to have and he is feeling like a failure about the whole thing. He really needs to find the box and fulfill the promise he made to his grandfather and Lydia needs an adventure to report back to Cambri so they set out on the journey together.

This book is what I call a "feel good" romance. It drew me in and left me with a good feeling about reading it. The contents of the box spoke to the romantic in me and brought me to tears and I loved the method the author used to impart Blake's message. The story was about adventure and love and how we shouldn't focus on the things that are temporary in this world. Blake had to come to realize what was important in life and Lydia had to learn to be brave, to really go of what she wanted. It carries two separate but strong messages, ones that I think we all can relate to and learn from. But, all of that aside, it was a very fun read. A very sweet, clean, contemporary romance that will speak to your heart and hold you captivated by its charm. I have enjoyed each book in this series immensely. This can be read as a stand alone story just like the others but I recommend starting at the beginning because you'll enjoy getting to know the characters as the series progresses. Highly recommended for anyone that likes sweet contemporary romance!

LOVED. LOVED. LOVED. IT!
My favorite so far in the series!

FUN!
ROMANTIC!
HUMOROUS!
HEART-TOUCHING!
SO. SO. SO. GOOD!

Lydia is shy and alone in a new city.

This was suppose to be her big adventure for the summer. But she spent the summer reading and ordering takeout instead.

Blake is on an errand from his grandfather to find a box belonging to a woman Blake has never met.

He is out of time and is headed home empty-handed.

Blake and Lydia are scheduled for the same flight back home when the flight gets cancelled.

As they stand in line to make future flight arrangements these two talk about there missed adventures.

Lydia makes an on-the-spot decision to help Blake stay two more days and find his box.

And Blake secretly decides he is going to help Lydia get her adventure.

The story that follows is one NOT TO BE MISSED!
YOU WILL LOVE IT! ( )
