I loved this book!! One of my favorite things about this book was being submersed into the Cuban culture. The food, music, faith and family. The description in this book had me humming the music in my head, dancing in my seat and smelling the roasted pork. I found myself cheering for this family like no other book I have read before. I wanted them together. I wanted them to overcome their economical differences. We were brought into the culture in a way we feel like part of the family. The parents have old school flare while the young adults are the Nuevo Cubans trying to fit into America but still keep their Cuban ways. For instance, by the way they play dominoes and speak the language with the family. This book was heartwarming and had me smiling, crying, happy and hurting for this couple. I feel this is a great read, not to be missed. Be sure to check out our review from Charity’s first book in the series, NOW AND ALWAYS.
