It's 2003. Dub Storm is a stoner, which wouldn't be so bad if he didn't also know 101 ways to kill a man.A former Special Forces sniper with an intrigue-filled African past, Dub has returned home to Austin and become a private eye, a career that earns him just enough cash to keep the drugs coming. But when a wealthy family hires him to find their kidnapped child on the same weekend as the U.S. invasion of Iraq, Dub's addled goofball life rips apart. He realizes that despite his best efforts at self-anesthesia, his "badass within" always lurks close to the surface. The Big Clear is "The Big Lebowski" meets "The Bourne Identity," a literary neo-noir that revels in the traditions of detective fiction while having a fine time subverting them.… (altro)

THE BIG CLEAR by Christopher Harris is an interesting mystery/suspense/thriller set in 2003 Austin,Texas. Fast paced and action packed filled with suspense, mystery, espionage,a bit of humor, money and power. A great whodunnit. Follow, Dub Storm, former Special Forces sniper turned private eye. He knows 101 ways to kill a man,has a traumatic past,is a stoner, smokes weed, and has a bad attitude. His friends or comrades are Kid Collins,Heather Easley,Bill Berkshire and John Partridge, what a troop of characters. When asked to help recover a kidnapped child by his long ago crush,Heather Easley, he finds life renewed,as well as a whole lot of trouble. The secondary characters are well developed also, you can't help but enjoy "The Big Clear". Don't let the "stoner" attitude get in your way of reading this fast paced story. A great read and one not to miss. If you enjoy suspense, and mystery, with a touch of humor mixed in as well as a great cast of characters you will enjoy "The Big Clear". Received for an honest review from the author.
