WAITING FOR SPRING by Amanda Cabot is an exciting historical romance set in 1886 Cheyenne,Wyoming Territory. Book 2 in the "Westward Winds" series, but can be read as a stand alone. See, " Summer of Promise". Follow Charlotte Harding and Barrett Landry on a journey of love, faith, romance, secrets, danger and new beginnings. Secrets of the past could destroy the blossoming love between Charlotte and Barrett and destroy Barrett's political ambitions. Courage, sacrifice and "Waiting For Spring" will not only tug at your heartstrings but the storyline and spiritual revelations will capture your heart and have you turning pages. A sweet story of love and new beginnings. A must read for anyone who enjoys historical romance, American history,Wyoming in the 1880's,faith,and love. You will be swept away by Charlotte and Barrett's story. The secondary character Gwen had me wanting her to have a story of her own. I enjoy this author's stories and "Waiting For Spring" was no exception. I enjoyed Charlotte and Barrett. Received for an honest review from the publisher. For more details visit the author's website, Revell,a division of Baker Publishing Group and My Book Addiction and More. “Available January 2013 at your favorite bookseller from Revell, a division of Baker Publishing Group.” RATING: 4.5 HEAT RATING: SWEET REVIEWED BY: AprilR, My Book Addiction and More/My Book Addiction Reviews Charlotte is on the run from an evil man known as the Barron. Her husband was killed and left her alone to have their son, David. In order to provide for him, she has opened a dress shop, and is great demand. One of her clients, Miriam, seem to also value her opinion. Amanda Cabot has woven a wonderful picture of 1880's Cheyenne Wyoming Territory. This place is a booming town. Travel along with the pictures of beautiful mansions, lovely parks, restaurants, and country side. There is also danger lurking around the corner. Some of the people we meet are not really what they are portraying to be. You will fall in love with the kindness, and love of others that some of these people are willing to give. Some really great friendships, and a bit of romance. I could read more about these new friends, and hope you will enjoy this as much as I did. I received this book through the Revell Bloggers Program, and was not required to give a positive review. nessuna recensione | aggiungi una recensione

Wealthy cattle baron Barrett Landry's supporters tell him that If he wants to fulfill his political aspirations, he needs to marry well. He is ready to court Charlotte's friend, but once he meets Charlotte, he's not sure he's after the right woman.
Well-plotted and with realistic characters painstakingly drawn, Waiting for Spring is well worth reading. Careful research reaps huge rewards as author Amanda Cabot creates a beautiful story world that transports the reader into the late 1880's in the West with breathtaking ease. Here's an example of the attention to detail that draws the reader into Cabot's story world: "Barrett strode back and forth in front of the depot, listening for the humming of the rails that would announce the incoming train."
The cover art is stunning and actually depicts a scene from the book. The matte finish feels nice to the touch. On all levels, this book does not disappoint.
Waiting for Spring by Amanda Cabot belongs on every western romance reader's shelf. Highly recommended.
