I watched the movie a few months ago and enjoyed it. I finished the book today and then watched the movie again tonight and got more out of the film because of the background and more in depth knowledge of Elena and Peyton's relationship.

The book had a few issues for me - loads of missing commas which messed up the flow for me (one of my quirks) and one instance of Elena's name being used when it should have been Peyton's - but they were pretty easy to overlook. I felt the story dragged in a few places and maybe went on a bit too much in others but, overall, if you liked the movie before reading the book, it will only enhance your experience. (
