Another great history from Peter Fitzsimons. I have been to Ballarat and Bendigo a few times over the years when travelling in Victoria, and last year spent two days visiting Coronation Hill, so knew a fair bit about the Eureka Stockade and gold mining in Victoria in general, but this book brought it all together and fleshed it all out with riveting descriptions of the lives and struggles of the miners.
Highly recommended for anyone interested in Australian history. ( )
