Attacked! Part 1 Last Plane out of Paris by Paul Moxham
May 1940 in France
Having grown up near one another Bill and Jim had signed up for the Royal Air Force and have achieved great status.
They are on a mission as the pilot is being shot at from the Germans. They were to land near the lake but didn't reach there.
Jim and Bill were able to crashed onto the empty field. Jim was dragging Pete the gunman from the back of the plane.
They are informed the Germans are close by and find where they were to rendezvous.
They catch up on some sleep but are leery of the people they see as they eat. Bill locates the man in charge and they meet back later with him and others.
Another plan is put into place and the men go to the town with them to help find a person and extract him to a safe location.
They spend the night at a top agents house. There's just a feeling and he thinks something just is not right in this town...
Lots of action and military talk as they conduct their business in a foreign country.
Interesting to learn of parts everybody plays in this endeavor.
Very lucky situations. ( )

This story starts out slow at first. Though once things get going it non stop action. It felt like what going to happen to these two agents. Though it was something. British Airmen have a mission to do but we are not told until they reach the France Resistance Though though out the whole thing they spect one person and they hold the spies with them think it the other person.

Things to got from bad to worse but how are the German getting the information Though things are getting more execting has the book goes on. Their original mission is failed though they get a new mission. The new mission is to save a person that is to land in England. I am so in to this book for it give you sence of what happening before the United States enter the WWII.

I am looking forward to find out more about this even though it part fiction and part fact. I am waitting to see if there another book to follow. ( )

Mr. Moxham knows how to write an old fashioned thriller. I almost saw some of our older actors dashing across WWII Europe doing battle with the Germans. While the book started out slow for me and too predictable at times the chase involving spies, traitors and love all in the midst of a war zone kept me coming back. I'm very glad Mr. Moxham selected me to get a copy of this book and I hope to read more of his works in the future.
