Sixth entry in the series has Tubby trying to find out why the DA is out to get a judge Tubby is friends with. Lots of colorful characters and situations combine with a plot that barely holds together and makes less sense the more you think about it. Still, spending a few hours in Mr. Dubonnet's company is always a pleasure. As usual, the story told in the series moves forward--this time Tubby has quit drinking. Can it last? ( )
