Lustig takes the reader through all the major areas of beauty expense—hair, skin, makeup, etc.—and explains how to get both good results and a good deal. The book is helpful for both women looking for a do-it-yourself makeover but not sure where to start and women who already have elaborate beauty routines but are looking to scale back the expense.

Now, if you’re like me and your current beauty routine is brushing your teeth and perhaps your hair if you don’t forget, then following the advice in even one chapter is going to represent a pretty significant expense. But my plan is to try one new thing at a time. Her advice is practical and detailed. ( )
