I liked this book for two reasons. First, the book includes textual features that engage the reader. For example, at the end of the book there is a page titled, "Look and See." There are pictures of important concepts from the book. It reads, "Have you seen these things? They make people think of Diwali." This allows the reader to reflect on what they just read. Second, I liked how clear the illustrations/figures were. One page reads, "People light lamps in their homes." There is a picture above the text that shows people surrounding a picture and placing lights on it. There is a label that reads "diva lamps" that has an arrow pointing to the lights. The big idea of the story is to teach the reader about why and how people celebrate Diwali. ( ) nessuna recensione | aggiungi una recensione
