An excellent book of haunted 236 sites in Britain, with only a large paragraph or so on most, but with a good description of what is supposed to happen and what has happened. The photographs in the centre are creepy, good quality black and white. For anyone interested in the locations of the greatest haunted places in Britain, this is a top book - and if you want more detail you can find it elsewhere after sussing it out in this. Would make a good haunted tour guide to Britain if it had a map. ( )

Interesting book. I've had a lifelong love of ghost stories, so this is right up my alley. Of course, they're not nearly as scary as I found them in my youth, but they're still an enjoyable distraction. ( )
