Very short read, four chapters and an epilogue. As I started reading this book I was intrigued, the female character Belle was obviously hiding something from her Randall. She started to have a fling with him four months prior and only once a week in a hotel. During these couple of hours they met up, they did all sorts of things but even with all the talking they did Randall still didn't really know who she was. Even though he really did not know much about her, he fell in love with her. Desperate to find out what her secrets are, he decides to hire a private investigator to follow her and then a tragic situation happens.

I don't want to say too much of the story since it was very short. The first two chapters were practically the build-up for the interlude, two chapters of foreplay and finally when they get down to actually doing it, it was over within a few paragraphs. I would have liked it better if the intimacy scene played out a little longer. I really did not get a good back story as to why these two really love each other, other than the fact they have great sex. By the middle of chapter three I realized it was a Romeo & Juliet type story, two people who shouldn't be together because the father's don't like each other. It was a lot of information thrown in and I would have liked to know more about the family's history. All in all, it lacked it many departments for me but I would be willing to try something else the author has written. ( )
