I thought that Noah was a very lovable character. He has endured an enormous amount of mistreatment from his family, been through a gruelling kidnapping, and is still full of life. He tends to be more concerned about others than himself.
His mate, the warrior Remus, is determined to give Noah a better life, even if Noah seems to have trouble opening up emotionally. When he finally does, their relationship can grow.
Even though the recognition that they were mates was instantaneous, it was less difficult to believe that these two would get along than the pair in the first volume. This story was more focused around battling external obstacles and the past.
I look forward to the next book in this series! ( )
