I want a Seth. When we meet him, he has been a very good boy for nearly 3 years. He promised Jodi’s daddy that he wouldn’t touch her until she finished college. This meant that no matter how hard she tried to seduce him, he resisted. Unfortunately for Seth, there is only so much rejection a girl can take. Jodi comes home a woman determined to move on with her life. Yes she loves him, but she isn’t a masochist, and he has hurt her one too many times. Marrying Paul has nothing to do with her feelings for him, but it is an easy way to keep him arms length if he lets her. Unfortunately, Seth isn’t an ordinary Cowboy. Seth is a Dominant Cowboy, and a Dominant cowboy in love at that. He isn’t going to give away what he has decided is his easily, especially when he decides that the marriage must be a sham. How can she hope to resist a full-blown Dom Seth charm attack?

Seth is so sexy. From his bad-boy attitude to his honest declarations of affection, I adored him. I don’t know how in the hell Jodi was not supposed to fall in love with him, I was by the end of the novella! He pushes and he pushes (as Doms do!), but he never pushes her to a place where she is uncomfortable or distressed. He tries to make her see what she will be missing with her marriage, but he never tries to take the decision out of her hands. My favourite scene is one involving a webcam and some restraints; it was so funny I laughed aloud, but I want you to find out the details for yourselves :D What I loved about him the most was his reasoning why they couldn’t be together; it was so unselfish yet realistic that it made me swoon a little. He didn’t want her to be something that she wasn’t for him.
Jodi was amazing. She didn’t ever deny her feelings, yet knew they were no good for her. When she came back to the ranch, she was determined not to give in to temptation and try to seduce him, yet he was determined that this time she would be the seduced. She didn’t stand a chance, and I honestly loved her more for the fact that she knew that was the case. She was funny and feisty, yet completely honest and caring with him too. I loved them together, yet there was the small problem in the shape of Paul!

The sex scenes were blooming amazing. He is hot and he likes domination; I was going to love him! One of the most refreshing things was the fact that she was so sexually inexperienced, yet had no sort of hang-ups about what she shouldn’t enjoy. The fact that they both enjoyed themselves, made me enjoy the scenes more. Together they were evaporating the ink on the page!

The blurb of this book hooked me immediately. Cowboys? A mild D/s theme? Yes please! :D However, this book is so much more than I imagined. I liked the whole cast; from the Mother that appeared in only a couple of scenes down to the main cast, everyone was likeable and well written. It was sweet, funny, sexy and also made me cry! I can tell I’ll be following the series.

Seth was such a gentleman to wait and then such a bad boy to make things work for him. And then a gentleman to give Jody time. There were also lots of emotional twists and turn in regard to Seth's family as well. And the little side issue with Paul was a cute addition and I'm glad his problem got solved as well. ( )

This was a good second story for this series. There is lots of steamy hot sex and a sexy dominant male as well as a spunky woman that will keep him on his toes. Seth and Jody are perfect for each other and once they get past him ignoring her as she grew up they made a good pair. I was glad that when Jody realized what was going on at the Compton Ranch she was supportive of Seth and help him to deal with the crushing news that he had received. I am looking forward to the next book.

This is the second book in this series. Seth Compton has been in Texas since he turned eighteen. He has loved his time on this ranch but he is getting homesick. Plus he is longing for the daughter of his boss. She has graduated from college and is all grown up. He wonders if she can handle his darker needs and when she comes home engaged to another man he knows that he has to step and prove to her that he is all she needs.

Seth is like any other young man I guess. He wants to see the world outside the comfortable little town that he grew up in. He is strong, confident and caring. For almost ten years he has run the Kirkland ranch as foreman. He has grown up and is coming to realize that maybe Wyoming isn’t so bad. In fact the only thing keeping him in Texas is one stubborn, head strong woman named Jody Kirkland. When bad news comes he must give Jody time to make a decision while he tries to come to terms with what every child dreads.

Jody has tried for ten years to get Seth’s attention. When he kisses her during Christmas break and then leaves her she decides to give up and move on. She agrees to marry her best friend so he can get his trust fund. Her friend, Paul, is gay and his Dad was determined to make him go straight. Unfortunately for Jody when she comes home she knows that she will never get over Seth. She is stubborn though and refuses to go back on her promise. Jody is at times not very likable. She can be a foul mouthed bitch but she is also a caring and compassion young woman. She also can’t handle liquor.

It takes some time for these two to figure things out but Seth is going to need Jody for the hard times ahead and he isn’t afraid to tell her just how much he needs her. Each new book is preview in the last few chapters of the previous one. We got a preview of Seth showing up on the Compass Ranch in Northern Exposure and we get a hint of Sam’s problems in this story.

These are books about family and the people that make that family work. Each son finds his way home to help with the sorrow that is coming. There is no suspense just a story of love and caring and the ups and downs of a family. There are some wonderful sex scenes that are more than a little dominate so be warned there is spanking, bondage and a little toy play in the steamy sex scenes. ( )

Compass Brother’s #2 revolves around Seth and Jody, and what a great couple they are. Seth is a hard worker, sexy with a body made for sin. Jody is a hellcat that says exactly what she’s thinking.
