Kris Kuksi's artwork is highly original, and amounts to the most amazing usage of "mixed media assemblage" that I have ever seen. His vision is remote, gothic, and austere, but teeming with life and energy. This book does a great job of rendering the intricate detail in each of his dioramas, and if a book-length examination of the work does get a little repetitive and overly familiar after several page turns, it doesn't diminish the fact that this is a great introduction to the work of an important artist of our times.
