I have thoroughly enjoyed this series. It's funny and adventurous urban fantasy. If you enjoy a story that blends together characters from all religions, myths and fantasy tropes; this is a series for you. Also if you like a character that can make you laugh, then you'll love not only Atticus(the Iron Druid)but also his dog Oberon the real star of the show. I have laughed and been at the edge of my seat with this series. I think you will too. ( )

I really enjoyed this, have read the series twice. I appreciate that Atticus starts out pretty sneaky - after all, at his age with the range of characters who aren't fond of him, he'd have to be sneaky.

Really similar to the Dresden Files by Jim Butcher so if you enjoy those, you will like this. Not quite as good though. ( )

This book has been on the 'people who read' types of lists for me for a long time, and I'm not sure why I was so reluctant to start reading them. Time lost! I totally enjoyed the world of Atticus with his nordic/druidic gods and goddesses. He's another reluctant hero in lines of Harry Dresden, whose smart patter keeps you engaged on the page and whose heart carries you through the book (even if he doesn't admit it to himself).

There were definitely some chortlesome moments in this book, along with 'let's kick some mighty ass'. And it doesn't hurt that his best friend and sidekick is an Irish Wolfhound named Oberon. ( )

Neat magic, supernatural beasties, various gods dropping by whenever they want to and an Irish Wolfhound who talks, (sort of)- Hounded is good fun. ( )
