Perfectly ordinary contemporary romance novel: even had cute dog walker type people in it, but I was not charmed. Sometimes a book's review has more to do with me than the book, really. There wasn't anything wrong with it, I just ogt bored and didn't even finish. ( )

Last book to a sequel. Roxanne Bloom and her man-hating dog, Lilith. She has a website about hating men due to a bad experience. Eli Gallagher is a dog whisper who comes to her reduce after her dog attacks her ex boyfriend. She has 3 friends who are now married and or pregnant. They met walking their dogs. ( )

It was a good, light romance read about a dog-trainer (Eli) who helps Roxie AND her man-hating dog Lilith and falls in love along the way.

I liked this book HOWEVER I was bothered by the parallels in how Eli treated Roxie & Lilith. Especially/mainly, Eli's "problem" with his past girlfriends/the bedroom scene towards the end. It was just a little too much for me. ( )

I just finished reading "Not That Kind of Girl" by Susan Donavan. I found this to be a highly enjoyable read. This book made me laugh at times while at others covering ground that I know most people would find shocking.
This story follows ex-reporter turn man-hating blogger Roxier Bloom, Litlith her dog, and Eli Gallagher the dog whisper. There is a wonderfully amusing cast of co-stars that keep this story from being mundane.
When Lilith attacks Roxie's ex-boyfriend and is threatened with the death penalty, Eli Gallagher steps in to save the day. The point of the story being is Eli going to save Lilith, Roxie, or himself?
This book was well-written and entertaining. I would have awarded more stars but Miss Donavan through in a plot twist at the end that would have been wonderful had she played it out. However, she introduced the plot point and then seemed to change her mind before she fully explored where it could go. Overall I think most would enjoy this book! ( )
