For the Love of Mollie is a love story about an ordinary woman who hates the imperfections about her body. This really affects her confidence and self esteem about her desirability. However, she soon discover sand later learns that those imperfections can be desirable when she catches the eye of hunky gym owner, Connor Bean, where she works out.

It’s refreshing to read about a woman who was relatable due to her body size and how that affected her esteem, but even better was Mollie being older than Connor. And I thought that was a different take from the usual older and more experienced woman with a younger man. I liked how Connor helped her to see that her size was not an issue, but found her attractive and it was a positive attribute for his desire for her.

Connor was charming and sweet, and I liked how he wooed Mollie out of her shell over the course of their romance. It made her feel more confident in herself. Their relationship was fun and filled with lots of pleasurable moments with each other.

However, her crush on JC was sidelined very quickly and was smoothed over in the beginning of the novella, especially with the added complications of her best friend, Suzy, who clearly has something happening with JC. I felt that Mollie would have felt more angrier or upset about that rather than simply dismissing it. There was also the ending which I found to be cliched with Connor being caught out by Mollie with a self entitled and mercenary styled bimbo who is after him sexually. I felt that because he was so sensitive to Mollie and to women in general he could have avoided being alone with her. I’m not a huge fan of this type of misunderstanding because the resolution never rings true for me.

Overall, For the Love of Mollie is a sweet love story with likable and relatable characters. It’s a quick read that highlights that old adage which rings true, that beauty is really about the eye of the beholder. ( )

What I Loved: Connor was a fantastic guy. I love that he wasn't an anti-hero but a strong, straight-forward, gotta get the girl I like kind of guy! He really struck me as the kind of guy you could build your romance dreams around because he could exist in the real world! In other words, he is the kind of contemporary romance leading guy that I can root for.

What I Liked: Molly was a real woman. She kind of reminds me of the lead character out of Wishes by Jude Deveraux. She has curves, people who love her, but doesn't see her own beauty. I also enjoyed the friendships and realizations that she has.

Complaints: Molly's insecurities were a little draining. I wish she would have loved something about herself. I was also a little disappointed at the end when she didn't just learn to love herself as she was though I was also really proud of her for getting her goal.

Who I would recommend it too: I would say this is a good quick read for someone who likes a hot contemporary romance with real types of people involved. I think it would be fun for a chick-lit reader who can handle a little steam.

Why I gave it a 3: I enjoyed this quick read, especially Connor. The sex was a little rushed for me personally. I generally have this problem with short reads, they tend to feel rushed and choppy to me. They have to be to pack a punch. If you are a fan of the quick, short read then I think you will enjoy this immensely. ( )

KT Grant gets Kudos from me simply for creating a realistic heroine in For the Love of Mollie. Seriously, how many readers are more like Mollie than so many perfect heroines? Lots of us! I appreciated Mollie wasn’t the perfect body that has to do nothing more than walk by the hero to pique his interest.

Mollie McGree is crazy about her friend Juan Carlos, but she's under the impression she needs to loose a few pounds before she takes the plunge. But when she joins a gym and meets the delectable Conner Bean, a new world is opened up to her, one she thought was never possible. Mollie finds herself enjoying everything about Conner but she still isn't sure about things. Conner on the other knows what he wants, and that's Mollie. He has no plans of letting her go.

For the Love of Mollie was a sweet, sexy read. I really loved this one, it was very real. Plus this is one I could relate to. I think anyone that has struggled with their weight will find a piece of themselves in Molly. This is one hot little read, I definitely recommend giving it a try.

This is the second book I have read of KT Grant's... What I love about her writing is that no matter the genre she writes with heart and about real everyday people. They are true and believable and that's a powerful thing. I look forward to reading more from this author. ( )

I like this one because of the story. Mollie is not some skinny little thing, but a real woman with curves and a few pounds too many. But Conner sees her and thinks she is gorgeous, cos like he says a few times. He is not into stick figures with fake boobs. He wants and needs real curves. He is in lust, but she is insecure cos of her weight, oh and not to mention that Conner is sex on a stick.

Mollie is sweet, sure she is insecure, but who could blame her, and then who wouldn't be confused when Mr Handsome is all over you. It's up to him to show her that she is one gorgeous woman. And I love him, aww, he loves her just like she is, now that made me melt, what a man. He is her total opposite, a gym owner, fit and sexy, and the first time he sees her she is in baggy old sweats but he doesn't care. And he does not give up either.

It was a short story but there was time for these two to meet, fall into bed, fall into bed some more, and deal with a bit of drama. Those happy endings are not always that easy and she has some issues to deal with, not to mention that she used to be in love with this other guy.

I liked that she wrote about a real woman who had low self esteem, and didn't think she was all that. It was truthful and the more fun when those wild sexy scenes came around. Some very passion filled scenes, that is not to be missed. ( )
