- It was in 1972 that it was not be possible to order a comic book through the bookstore. Now it struck me that I had just obtained my driver's license so that Antwerp, the Walhalla of comics, was within reach. What was for sale there!
While building up a fantastic collection, I started dreaming of a store, and then with all the comic albums. In 1975 we started building and in 1976 it was time. We opened the doors. Entirely in style, an old building was filled with glass, panel doors and broken stucco ceilings; now a city monument.
We are now many years further and not much has changed. Yes, the store looks great and is equipped with all modern conveniences such as an ATM and internet, but the setup is still the same. It is still a one-man business with clearly arranged categories of all conceivable and unthinkable Dutch-language comic albums and an owner who, after all these years, is still proud of being allowed to stand there.
