Introductions, as always, come before anything else. So, let us learn a bit about you before you go posting elsewhere.

My name is Biz and I am seventeen. I love reading and can help others edit their work. I have done a little writing myself, but it is not my favorite activity. My favorite type of books are historical books, usually based on early travelers.

Hi Biz. Nice new group thing. I am 16, love reading, love writing, and my favorite things are blue, anything competative, and living online!

Hello. I see that the name you chose for this group, Writing Down the Bones, is the title of Natalie Goldberg's first big book. I've read it more than once.

Although we have never met, she and I have a sort-of connection. She studied Zen Buddhism under Dainin Katagiri. When Katagiri was preparing to die, he gave "Transmission" (permission to teach) to several of his followers. One if them wound up in St. Louis, Missouri and I've sat with him.

Other than that, I am a published writer and am thrilled to see young people pursuing reading and writing.

I'm also a literary agent for a former professor of mine, Dr. Dan Skelton, who published three books before he and I started working together. He's quite good.

I am new to this site; so, in advance, please forgive me for running counter to its established practices.

My name is don, companion of a dog named eartha, and I too am a writer. Unpublished yes, but only because I am to lazy to reach and to afraid to be criticized.

I can agree to that. I love what I write and hate it when people criticize me! My characters and plots are mine, so why should others be able to tell me what to do with them!
