I don't know how much time I will be able to devote to the discussion as I will be spending heaven only knows how much time with the IRS in Lansing trying to make them understand the concept that my mother CAN NOT POSSIBLY APPEAR before them to explain why she hasn't paid any taxes since 2017. I want to yell at them to look at the death certificate that I provided to you the last time you asked two months ago!!!! Which part of the lady is DEAD don't you understand??? Insanity...your middle name is IRS. I'm taking our financial advisor with me this time. He has a lot more patience than I do. If I need books sent to the Federal Prison, I will let you all know.

>6 Carol420: Was the words “Final Report” put on the 2017 IRS form? You need to spell it out on the last form you filed to the IRS. The government is stupid and the death certificate is enough but you need to spell it out per John Burke. If you are dealing with an agent or a tax clerk, agents solve problems while tax clerks just mumble the party line of the IRS. Accountants and attorneys have a direct line as the general public does not.

>7 EadieB: I'm taking my "expert" with me. Our attorney spoke to someone and told them that "Final Report" was on her last IRS form and should have been pretty self- explanatory and easy to understand...but evidently not. He's mad enough for all of us and has called these people names that I didn't know that he knew. So, we are making the trip on Tuesday. He's making them dig out and show him her forms since 2000...which will include the last one for 2017. They said they weren't sure if that was possible, and he told them to MAKE IT POSSIBLE. This is not state tax they're questioning, it's federal. I'm glad they're letting us go to Lansing and nor Detroit. There is nothing that i want to go to Detroit for.

>11 Olivermagnus: What a good friend you are. Chocolate cake please so the handle doesn't show:)

>12 Maura49: Ha! I would NEVER meet these folks alone. Our attorney says he doesn't think that it will take long to straighten it out.

On a happier note...We went to Shipshewana, Indiana last night to finally see Celtic Woman perform. I've had the tickets for 3-years now. They were originally supposed to come in 2021 but Covid prevented them from coming into the U.S. The second year they weren't allowed to leave Ireland because of the Covid regulation there and in 2023 they had to make major repairs to their set that had been in storage for 2-years. Finally!!! Great show. If you like Irish music, they are well worth the time and the money to see. My mother was born in Ireland but came to the U.S when she was 18-months old...and she loved anything Irish. She shared my love of the Celtic Thunder group, and she would have loved this group.
