Found this article about a staging of Schubert's last piece "Swan Songs" used as a setting for war. https://www.nytimes.com/2023/09/24/arts/music/doppelganger-review.html

Schubert is indeed sublime, but I've never felt the need for a staged performance of any of the song cycles. I well remember a performance of Winterreise by Mark Padmore where he simply finished the last song "Der Leiermann", staring into nothing. Overwhelming.
