Volkswagon Beetle: How to build & modify by Eric LeClair & Susan Anderson

This manual is useful to anyone contemplating or in the midst of a Bug upgrade; not for the neophyte wrench. Major vehicle components each get a chapter, not always in a logical order. For example, Chapter 2 covers “custom wheels,” probably not the most pressing issue you’re facing with your largely rust-free VW body the authors assume in Chapter 1. Still, the authors provide a useful overview of various options to consider for your build. Would I buy this book? Yes. Would it be the only VW manual on my shelf? No.
