Sharing out LC Classifications when Separating a Work?

I catalogued a magazine Ethiopia in 2017 using the LoC as a source and it came in with an LC Classification of J3751.A1 E85

I noticed recently that the cover was appearing in the G8330 maps listing. On checking I found that two other 'Ethiopia' titled items had been attached to the work and that it had gained two new classifications on the Work details page:
G8330 (G. Geography, Anthropology and Recreation > G3180-9980. Maps > G3290-9880. By region or country > G5670-8904. Eastern Hemisphere. Eurasia, Africa, etc. > G8200-8904. Africa) and
DT373 .E84 (D. History of Europe, Asia, Africa and Oceania > DT. Africa > DT1-3415. History of Africa > DT365-469. Eastern Africa > DT371-390. Ethiopia (Abyssinia))

I separated them from the original work. The separated work has very little information associated with it, apart from the title Ethiopia, and has now lost any LC Classification details (One must be a map).

Unfortunately it appears that the original work has retained all of the LC Classification details brought in with these two books so it hasn't fixed the problem at all. My magazine still has a default LC Classification of G8330 but it is not a map. How can I reset its LC classification back to J3751.A1 E85 and add the missing LC classifications back to the separated work?

I suspect it's an indexing issue and it will fix itself once that's done. Other than making sure their own copies have LCC entered, I doubt members can do anything

>2 SandraArdnas: I'd already waited a couple of days before posting to see if it would sort itself out. The LC Classification, as detailed in the right hand column under Genres, varied depending which page you looked at:
Main page - G8330 (Map - wrong)
Work Details - J3751.A1 (Political Science - correct)
Book details - G8330 (Map - wrong)
Editions - G8330 (Map - wrong)

Today I noticed that you can now set a Canonical LCC in the CK so added J3751.A1 to the CK and found that the LC Classification instantly changed to J3751.A1 on all of the above pages.
The two other LC Classifications, G8330 and DT373 .E84, from the separated books still appeared on the Work page but J3751.A1 had moved to the top of the list.

I then removed J3751.A1 from CK (ie made the entry blank) to see if it reverted back to G8330. It doesn't, the book keeps the J3751.A1 classification but, for some reason, the LC Classification no longer appears in the right column for any of the pages except the Work Details page.

I added J3751.A1 back to the CK to check it appeared back in the right hand column again for all the above pages (it did) and then removed it again.
The LC Classification in the right column disappeared again for all of the pages except the Work Details page but there was another change to the Work Details - the J3751.A1 classification was now listed twice at the top of the list.
