Did you think it was the right decision to hold a media blackout and not conduct a search? Why?

They are right to withhold the story. They don't need every Tom, Dick, & Harry running around looking for the girls. I believe they will probably release some information to encourage people to come forward with any information they might have...but these people aren't traveling around with these kids...they're hiding out and they must feel very confident.

I can see why a search wouldn't be needed at this point. But I would've thought they would want anyone who may have seen something to come forward. They'd need to let the public know something for that to happen. That didn't seem quite right to me.

I think a media blackout is a good thing as I think it will throw the kidnappers off as they won't know what's going on. I think it will make the kidnappers a bit nervous.

Yes to the blackout - we've already seen what damage Stupid Tracy did with irresponsible reporting. This is too sensitive a case to risk letting the likes of her loose on it.
No need for a search for the girls - waste of time and effort as the kidnappers have already been in touch.

I think it's a waste of time to search for the girls and the media blackout is a good idea. I do think Tracey will be digging things up since we started the book with Kim hunting her down.

They didn’t go missing, they were known to be kidnapped so no need for a search and much better to have a media blackout.
