Audiobook problem on Nano 6th. Generation

Hi, I am new to the group and technologically challenged so please if you can help me, keep it simple and step by step.
I have an Ipod Nano 6th. generation which I LOVE. I download books from the New York Public Library via OverDrive and then on to my NanoPod. All was fine until recently when the books stopped progressing from section to section but go back to the library list and I have to search to find which is the next section. Also can't seem to advance within a section. I don't know whether I have re-set some setting, if the problem is through the Over Drive or if my Nano is just getting old (had the on and off button fixed once). Has anyone else had this problem? Does anyone know what do do (if anything)? It is annoying and takes the fun out of my listening.
