Were you pleased to see Vance in this book? Do you think she had an ulterior motive for inviting Will out to dinner?

Yes I like Vance and I did think she had an ulterior motive for inviting Will out to dinner.

Yes, Vance was one of the good guys in the previous book, it's always good to have one of those on your side. Plus, I think Robie needs a friend to help soften his edges, (where's Julie when you need her?).
Now, was Vance's invitation to dinner simply coincidence? Maybe, maybe not - she's FBI, but she can't suspect Robie of being involved in every dodgy murder. But then again, Jacobs was shot through a window where the blinds were pulled... Not a common occurrence.

Yes. I like Vance

I think dinner was about 2 things - she actually does like Robie (especially after all the excitement of their last encounter) and she thought he might have insight into what happened (if he wasn't the actual shooter). With Vance, I don't think she's ever off the clock.

I like Vance and think she likes Robie but knows he's not going to give her any inside info.

It was like meeting an old friend, I liked hervin the last book So was good to see her back 👏. I do think she had an ulterior motive but also agree she likes him, even if he frustrates her!

I think Vance is half way in love with Robie and she wants to feel him out about Jacobs death. I think she thinks he may have killed him or at least know who may have.
