What are your thoughts on hypnotism? Has this book changed them?

No I always knew that some people can be hypnotized and others cannot. I actually went to a hypnotist and was not able to be hypnotized. I am to strong of a person to release control of myself to someone else.

I find it scary, but see where it could help somebody after a traumatic experience to sort out things.

I suppose it can be helpful in some cases but I don't think much of it as a medical practice and that it should be used after other options have failed. So, no, my mind has not been changed.

The book hasn't helped any! I think it may have shaken any faith I had in it as a science. It's now looking a bit dodgy at best, and at worst its leaving an open door...
Good job this supernatural stuff is only fiction, :)

It might be helpful in some cases but it could also open "another can of worms" entirely. It doesn't even work on some people. I don't ever want to be in a position to be hypnotized.
