Hi all,
I've searched the web in vain for information regarding this George Davidson edition. Various comments left under Amazon's reviews had not yielded any answer.
I've been searching for a successor to my beloved 1987 Betty Kirkpatrick Roget's Thesaurus and found many of the other non-Penguin Roget's (e.g., Bartlett's, Roget's International) vastly inferior. I dislike those A-Z dictionary type thesaurus and will not consider them.
My question is: Is this George Davidson edition (2002/2007: 9780141004426) an update on Betty Kirkpatrick's? Meaning both the thematic arrangement and content were largely untouched; the only changes coming from the addition of contemporary words? I'm afraid of buying this only to find words removed to make way for contemporary words.
I'm hoping someone who read this, especially one who owns both the Penguin Betty Kirkpatrick (1987/1999) and George Davidson (2002/2007) editions, would have the answer to my question.
Thanks (keeping my fingers crossed)

You don't need to post this twice. I checked in my library system - Ohio Consortium - by the ISBN number you quote, but there were no copies.
You could search that way on any used book site and maybe correspond with a seller. The smaller vendors might have the time and inclination to email you some specifics.
Oh, and welcome to LT!
