I remember really liking this one when I first read it, although it's probably one of those love-it-or-hate-it kind of things.

I always enjoy reading a new SK book and was looking forward to this one but really had a hard time connecting to the characters and the plot. I kept waiting for it to grab me and it never did. I plodded on until I was finished with it and was just so disappointed. The ending felt unfinished. It just seemed like there wasn't the character development there that I always expect from a SK book. It felt hurried to me.

The best scene in the book happens in the first 20 pages. the initial bloodbath provided more tension and terror than the rest of the book. Premature climax? How embarrasing!

I just finished Cell yesterday. I had a hard time getting into it originally so I set it aside and started again later. I liked it much better the second time. I really liked the adventure of the story and the characters. The ending was good but not great. Glad I took the time to read it.

Being fan of SK, zombie stories and post-apocaliptic settings I quite enjoyed this book.

In a way I found it very similar to The Mist, especially the ending.

A reread for me, I actually liked it quite a bit. I thought the action moved along pretty quickly and I liked all of the characters. Looking back, I suppose the ending was rather far-fetched but I was willing to roll with it.
